I can't wait to finish these (Nancy Bush's Meida's Socks from IK's Favorite Socks). Fingers crossed that I don't run out of yarn. I've got only a skein of Lorna's Laces to work with. :-\ I figured if I was able to get away with these Child's First Socks using just a skein, I could probably do it with these. We shall see.

I think you'll have enough yarn (you have littlish feet, right?). In my experience, a skein of Lorna's is enough to make a sock for my foot (9.75" long) and a pair of baby socks, and that's for a sock with a pretty long leg.

I have to say, this pattern looks so much better on than it does just layed out in the book!

That is a beautiful pattern. And wow - one pair of socks out of one skein of LL? Did I read that correctly? Tiny-footed folks have all the luck! I'm using one skein per foot and keeping my fingers crossed as I reach that toe. ;)
Actually, I always have a little left over with Lorna's but there have been times when I've used Koigu (175 yards as opposed to 210) that I have stitched the toe and had lees than a foot of yarn to spare.
