Things in the kitchen

This post courtesy of my brain being currently unable to string words into interesting or useful sentences. The heat finally got to it.

THE END

PS The side-to-side sweater is nearly completed, just had to get through the weather and a couple more inches of ribbing. Stay tuned! (GEEZ LOUISE was it hot. We spent the evenings grilling and over the dying coals we roasted marshmellows. Guess what though, I hate marshmellows! And yet I ate an entire bag! So gross! The heat made me do it. Also, the leaves are turning colors from being scorched. That's the last time I ask for an extended summer.)

Those measuring cups are brilliant. You are quite a good photographer :) Seems like I moved west and over the moutains just in time to avoid the intence last summer gasp of heat. All the best to enjoy your roof deck though :)

Those have to be the most fabulous measuring cups ever. The only thing better is if they would say "Aflac!" when you tipped them over.

Love love love the measuring cups! I want some! The fan is nice too. And you could've been generous and sent us some of your extended summer since we never even had one! It seems it's actually gone into winter already here too.

See, you should live in Minneapolis. :) It's been in the 60s and low 70s for the past few weeks, with a brief detour to 80 last weekend.

Those duck measuring cups are so cute they made me squeal!

And do tell us how you like the Elephant Walk cookbook, 'kay? I miss that restaurant with the heat of a thousand suns. The Ming Tsai cookbook is lovely--I especially recommend the East-West spice cakes with cardamom cream. I've made them dozens of times, they're so good.

I had to tell you (since I saw them on your site first): my hubby was in Boston earlier this week and came home with those measuring cups! Everytime I walk into my kitchen I smile with delight!
