Knitterly Wedding on the Beach

Tuesday, June 08, 2010

Well hello there! I've popped in to share a beautiful beach wedding I recently shot on Plum Island, MA. I feel like I'd been waiting forever for this day to come! Jill, who is from the Boston area but lives in LA, was one of the first people to hire me for her June wedding, and she did it via this blog, when my photography portfolio consisted mostly of yarn skeins, socks, and cats. I can't thank her enough for having faith in me and allowing me to be apart of her beautiful day. It was full of smiles, tears, incredible storm lighting (which we enjoyed without the threat of tornadoes or felled trees that occurred in Boston), DIY details and whimsical knitted goods. It was a wonderful, wonderful wedding.

Also thanks to my buddy and fellow pet photographer and fellow knitter AND fellow Raveler Stacey for joining me on the shoot.

And then these adorable knitted seahorses used as cake - or giant cupcake - toppers!
